Kino’s neighbors become jealous, and constantly try to steal the pearl. Once Kino finds a great pearl, he becomes greedy for riches. ![]() Kino is rejected by the doctor because of his poorness, so he looks for a pearl to pay the bill. In The Pearl, Kino’s son Coyotito, is stung by a scorpion, and Kino takes him to the doctor. ![]() John Steinbeck, famous American writer, wrote the novella The Pearl. It turns people against each other, and brings bad luck. ![]()
